Widely referred to as Dr. Vickie, Dr. Victoria Adepoju is the Executive Director of the African Development and Empowerment Foundation (AfricanDEF).
She specialises in maternal and child health. She works in Ibadan southwest Nigeria at Adeoyo HIV clinic and is a consultant with Academy Hospital, Iwo Road.
She has been able to marry her medical practice with her passion for writing and is a versatile Nigerian multimedia content developer. She is also the chief human resources officer for healthnews.africa. As a columnist for the platform, she reported health topics including maternal and child health, and developmental issues.
She is the Executive Director of African Development and Empowerment Foundation, and serves as State Coordinator for IYAFP Nigeria.
She is also the producer of the Report+Impact Project – a digital storytelling initiative focusing on health advocacy and development.
She is passionate about health education, telling stories and empowering by exploring data and telling the whole story.
